The Pilot Results
Following a successful predictive maintenance pilot at one of its wind generation facilities, a leading renewable energy operator has expanded the Fischer Block® platform to a second wind farm, further validating the value of distributed electrical intelligence for improving renewable asset reliability and operational performance. During the initial pilot, the platform identified two independent developing equipment conditions prior to failure. Subsequent diagnostic inspections confirmed both findings—a cracked slip-ring chassis and a deteriorating bearing lubrication system—allowing maintenance to be completed before more significant equipment damage or unplanned outages occurred. Based on these results, the operator implemented a full site expansion and has since initiated a second deployment at another wind generation facility in the Midwest.
