Analyzing waveform oscillographs in high resolution
    Key features include:
  •   Advanced substation data recording
  •   Capturing event and fault data in high resolution
  •   Using waveform analytics to prevent faults before they occur
  •   Compatible with full suite of Fischer Block, Inc. devices
Weak insulators, excessive arcing during capacitor bank or breaker switching, noisy load-tap changers, failing equipment and and loose connections, can all cause problems ultimately lead to system faults and equipment breakdown. Pre-fault detection is key to preventing faults and disturbances in an electrical power system. High-resolution waveform capture and analysis provides users with the insight and actionable intelligence needed to keep their systems up and running smoothly.

Fischer Block device sensors capture high-resolution oscillography waveforms (associated with faults and other network events) at data rates up to 64 samples per cycle (typical). Patent-pending algorithms are used to make a statistical correlation of high-resolution data with historical failure data information in order to provide system operators with critical time-to-failure and end-of-life estimates on key assets. Wave data can be stored indefinitely for further forensic investigation of outages, disturbances, events, and equipment failures to provide key information in support of a sound condition based maintenance program.
